Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year! November, December, and January are my favorite months of the year. I Thanksgiving, not because of the FOOD, but because of the FATHER! God has given His blessings and "in all things give thanks." I love Christmas, not ecause of the GIFTS but because of the GIVER! Jesus gave His life for me, and now gives His life to me. I love New Year's not because fo the PARTIES but because of the PROVIDER. God is the Sovereign Lord of my life and the Provider of all my needs and desires. So each of these great holidays let us focus on our Savior giving thanks to Him, celebrating the life He provides to everyone who receives Him by faith into their life.
Let me now encourage all of you to consider becoming a faithful disciple of Christ. It is a choice we must make. As a church, we have developed what we call Ryans Creek
Discipleship Model. This model will empower each of you to be Christ's disciple and grow in your relationship with Him. I will go into some depth in December's business
meeting on how the model will work. The first class (Discovering My Membership) will begin Sunday, December 31, 2006 at 5pm. God belss you and your family.

Dear Ryans Creek Church members, As Youth Director I would like to thank you for allowing me to be just a small part of this church's ministry. The youth of this church mean so much to me and my family and to them I woul like to say "thank" for all you do to help me. Church, we are so blessed to have such wonderful young men and young ladies in our fellowship. So let's get excited, go tell everybody that JESUS CHRIST IS KING!

This is avery busy time of the year for us in childern's ministries. We're in the middle of Operation Christmas Child, which is always a blessing as our children learn that many around the world don't know about Jesus and don't have many toys and other items like we do here in the US, and that we can share a little of what we have to share Christ's love with those children. Pray for those boxes as they go all around the world.
We are still in need of someone to coordinat our van ministry. This would involve making the Sunday monring route schedule, coordinating the drivers for the route and visiting prtential children who might ride the van. If this is something you might be interested in see Mike or Lea Scott.
Please conitnue to pray for the Children's Committee. We feel that God has placed each of us in this ministry for a specific reason. The main one being to share God's love with the children of our church and community. Pray that we will use each opportunity He gives us to the fullest potential.
We'd like to share some info about Children's church with you. Some of you may not realize what happens in Children's church each Sunday. Many of you were able to see first hand what we do in Kids for Christ(1st-6th grade) last year when we did our service for you in "big church". We had singing, prayer, offering, a sermon and an altar call. We have a few other aspects that involve the children's memorization of scripture and their weekly bible reading. All of this is on the childs level, but the content is all scriptual and God centered. The preschoolers have a snack and the go back to their Sunday class room where volunteers teach them more about their Sunday School lesson. Please keep in mind that if you were to ask them what they did in children's church that day their answer may be more focused on what kind of cookie they ate or what game the played. The great thing is, even though they may not seem to be getting much out of all of it, They are absorbing all these wonderful Bible stories and they are shown that church is a great place to come because they have fun and their teachers love them! And God loves them! If you ever have any questions or concerns about children's church please don't hesitate to contact us on the children's committee. Your children's committee members are Mike and Lea Scott, Johnny Haney, Bruce and Leigh Hall, and Stevie and Deserae Mullins.
We still need someone to coordinate our van ministry. If you fee God is calling you to do this, contact the children's church committee.
