A.W.A.N.A. meets Sundays at 4:30-6:00pm September thru May at Ryans Creek Baptist Church. AWANA stands for "Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed." Kids learn Bible verses, have fun at game time, enjoy snack time, and earn AWANA bucks that can be spent in the AWANA Store. AWANA is for children from ages 3 to 18. Anyone intersted in coming toAWANAcan contact our church at 287-1613 for more information. Awana resumed September 11, 2005 with a big kick-off. We had volleyball, moonwalk, and a super slide.

The Awana club for preschoolers is built on two premises:

Our preschool program meets these needs through …

Fun - and lots of it!
Awana is fun with a purpose - to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

The Awana club for children in kindergarten through second grade builds on the material taught in our preschool club. The aim of the curriculum is to take youngsters a step deeper into God's Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.

.

The name Truth & Training reflects the passion of Awana to teach third- through sixth-grade boys and girls the truth of God's Word and to train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. Our goal is that many of today's young people will become tomorrow's church leaders. T&T is the program that trains the leaders of tomorrow - today.

.

From mature Christians to unchurched nonbelievers, seventh- and eighth-graders have wide-ranging spiritual, emotional, social and physical needs. One approach cannot fit them all.

Reaching our world's young people is very important. Did you know that 85 percent of all people who do not accept Jesus Christ by age 18 never will? That's why Awana offers a series of clubs and programs geared to the needs of a particular age or grade. As a vital part of your local church ministry, Awana clubs and programs effectively reach young people with the good news of Jesus Christ.
